Safari Park

  • A Safari Bus Service is available from Visitor Information for visitors with soft top cars, motorbikes or for those who visit by public transport ONLY
  • The Longleat monkeys will be viewable from a new drive past Monkey Jungle later this year. Please click here for further information
  • Pets are not allowed in the Safari Park. Free kennelling is available at the entrance to the Safari Park for the duration of your Safari visit only
  • Queues can build at the Safari Park in the mornings during busy periods (Bank/School holidays). Visit in the afternoon to help avoid queues
  • Please allow at least 15 minutes to drive from the main car park to the Safari Park entrance

Safari Bus Service

  • A Safari Bus service is available from Visitor Information for visitors with soft top cars or for those who visit by public transport
  • The Safari Bus service is subject to a surcharge of £6 per person (3yrs+) in addition to the standard Safari Park or Passport Ticket price
  • The Safari Bus service is subject to availability so please book immediately at Visitror Information on arrival at Longleat to help avoid disappointment. Capacity is limited and only available on a ‘first come first served’ basis
  • The Safari Bus service is not available to groups
  • The Safari Bus service is unable to accommodate wheelchairs

Longleat House and Lord Bath’s Murals

  • During school holidays and at busy times the tour of Longleat House will be restricted for conservation reasons
  • Tours of Lord Bath’s Murals can be booked at the Front Desk of Longleat House on the day of your visit. Free entry with valid Longleat House or Passport Ticket. Tours are subject to availability

Safari Boats, King Arthur’s Mirror Maze, Motion Simulators and Longleat Railway

  • Queues can build at these attractions during busy periods. Please visit early in the day to help avoid disappointment

Motion Simulators & The Tea Cup Ride

  • A minimum height of 1.2m (4ft) applies on the Motion Simulator
  • Longleat operates two Motion Simulators during busy periods. Please note that the Longleat Passport Ticket entitles you to entry into one Simulator only
  • A maximum height of 1.3m (4.2ft) applies on the Tea Cup Ride. Adults/seniors will only be admitted when accompanying a child

Parking

  • Due to its heritage, Longleat has both tarmac parking and grass parking. All overflow car parks are grass car parks which are used on busy days (weekends, bank holidays and school holidays)
  • Please park in designated areas. If parking on the grass, please avoid parking under the trees
  • We offer designated areas for disabled parking
  • Please do not leave pets in parked cars

Meeting Friends?

If you are planning to meet friends and maybe car share around the Safari Park, we suggest that you enter via the Longleat House entrance and meet up in the main car park - there is extremely limited car parking at the Safari entrance.


First Aid

  • Please ask a member of staff to direct you to the nearest trained First Aider
  • Please note that they are only equipped to treat minor injuries

Baby Changing Facilities

  • Available at the entrance to the Safari Park, at the Adventure Castle, in the Cellars Restaurant, near to Old Joe's Mine and in the Wessex Pavilion

Lost Persons

  • In the event that a child or other vulnerable person becomes separated from your party please make your way to the Visitor Information to report the matter

Pushchair Access

  • Longleat House is unable to accommodate pushchairs for conservation reasons. A Pushchair Park is available to the rear of the House for visitors to Longleat House. Longleat accepts no liability for loss or damage to pushchairs left unattended
  • Safari Boats, Longleat Railway and the Longleat Hedge Maze are not accessible to pushchairs. They can be stored at the entrance to these attractions. Longleat accepts no liability for loss or damage to pushchairs left unattended

Cash Facilities

  • A cash back facility is available with purchase at the Trading Post (in the Safari Park), Lady Bath's Shop, Victorian Kitchens, Castle Gift Shop, Noah's Ark and in the Wessex Pavilion

Dogs

  • Dogs are allowed in the Estate on leads, but they are not allowed into, or on, any of the Attractions, this includes the House (not applicable to Service Dogs)
  • Dogs (and all other pets) are not allowed in the Safari Park. Free kennelling for dogs is available at the entrance to the Safari Park for the duration of your Safari Park visit only. Dogs must be collected at the end of a Safari visit. No pre booking is required for this service as it is operated on a ‘first come first served’ basis. The kennels are quite basic - we are happy if you bring a blanket or something that reminds them of home
  • We do not advise leaving dogs in the car. Shaded areas in the car park cannot be guaranteed
  • We request that if you do bring a dog to Longleat that you nominate a member of your party to look after it whilst you visit the attractions. Dogs cannot be tied up outside of the attractions for health and safety plus welfare reasons
  • Service dogs are welcome everywhere at Longleat although please note that they are not allowed in the Safari Park, Butterfly House (within Animal Adventure), nor into Old Joe's Mine or on the Motion Simulators for welfare reasons. Free kennelling is available at the entrance to the Safari Park for the duration of your Safari Park visit only (see above)
  • Please use 'poop scoops'

Refreshments

  • The Wessex Pavilion offers a selection of hot and cold dishes, sandwiches and pastries. Baby bottle warming facilities. Includes a licensed bar. Click here for further information
  • The Cellars in the vaults of Longleat House offers a range of hot homemade English dishes, soup, toasties and baguettes. A roast lunch is also served on Sundays. The Cellars Self Service offers filled baguettes, sandwiches, cakes, snacks and drinks. Click here for further information
  • For visitors wishing to picnic, a Picnic Area is located on the grass next to the Wessex Pavilion with a second next to the ‘Animal Park’ Exhibition off the Main Square. Please do not picnic or sit under trees
  • The use of barbecues is strictly prohibited within the Longleat Estate
